Experience hanggliding with a professional tandem pilot. The tandem flight with the dual passenger hang-glider is truly an unforgettable experience.
The principle is easy: Modern hang-gliders are built from aluminium poles, stainless steel lines and synthetic sails. This type of hang-glider weighs between 25 and 35 kilos and provides a sail area of between 13 and 17 square metres. The hang-glider is steered by a steering frame which shifts the centre of
gravity. The pilot and the passenger are attached in a horizontal position to the so-called harness gear under the expanse of the sail.
The flight performance is really impressive: In an aerodynamically favourable position, a modern hang-glider can demonstrate a gliding performance of 1:12, that is , the hang-glider can cover 12 kilometres at a 1000m difference in altitude. It can reach a flying speed of up to 100 km/h.
What ever you do with the glider, either circling around in thermals, (ascending hot air) or soaring in dynamic wind or flying short and long distances "cross country" - hanggliding provides an easy way to experience the realization of one of mankind's oldest and greatest dreams: flying!
In one of the most beautiful alpine flight regions within the northern Alps, you will be enjoying the scenic alpine views. Our flight regions
are located within the picturesque Austrian Zillertal region - approximately 1 1/2 hours south of Munich. The flight time is variable and dependent upon wind and thermal conditions. The vertical height difference is up to 1400 meters.
You will need to bring sturdy hiking boots and weather accommodating clothing. Appointments to be made by agreement. Please check with us possibly a week in advance.
